What is the Cross Border Xpress?
Cross Border Xpress is a convenient pedestrian bridge that connects the Tijuana airport to a terminal in San Diego, allowing travelers to bypass long border waits and save money by flying out of TIJ vs SAN.

Benefits of Using the CBX
When you’re itching for a Mexican escapade, the CBX becomes your ticket to a time and money-saving adventure. Say adiós to lengthy detours and traffic jams, and hola to a seamless journey. The CBX allows you to skip the hassle of entering Tijuana via car or pedestrian port of entry and enter Tijuana International Airport (TIJ) where you can depart to Mexico City, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and other international cities at domestic prices.
How Much Are CBX Tickets?
CBX tickets start at $19.95 USD for a one-way during low season and prices vary for Normal and High Season, rountrip tickets are sold as individual passes and you can save money when purchasing for families of 4, 5 or 6. Tickets are available for purchase online and in their app and at convenient, easy-to-use kiosks when you arrive, a valid boarding pass is required to use the bridge as it enters TIJ terminals. You may also add the one-way or roundtrip CBX ticket to your flight via airline websites. Note: tickets are only valid for the flights purchased through an airline while CBX tickets purchased on the website or app are valid for one year from the purchase date.

In addition to Single and Family bundles for groups traveling together, there are also 10-packs for commuters, Military tickets, passes for unacompanied teens as well assisted passengers ticket for seniors or handicapped individuals who need help with their forms, priority access, and wheelchair service. Getting Ready for Your CBX Adventure
Before you embark on this cross-cultural journey, gather your essential documents. Your valid passport and any necessary travel permits will open the door to a smooth CBX crossing. Most American Citizens will need to fill out an immigration form for tourism, the Forma Migratoria Múltiple (FMM) is free to obtain and you can even print at home otherwise expect to wait in a separate line before accessing the bridge. If you’re staying longer than 7 days in Mexico you need to pay a Mexican tourist tax -this is done halfway through the CBX process using your printed-out FMM and your passport.
When you fill out the FMM form online select Travel By Land – CBX is a Land Port of Entry which may be in Spanish, “Conexión peatonal aeroportuario Tijuana San Diego.”
