This weekend my sister and I were reminiscing about Candy Cane Lane in Chula Vista, our childhood favorite light display which sadly no longer exists. Now that she’s a mom, her weekend comprised of a visit to Christmas Circle with my sobris. This got me thinking, where are the other neighborhoods that have Christmas light displays for you to enjoy with your family. I did a little research for you, de nada, now you and your POCHO familia can have a fun, mostly-free, holiday experience at a different San Diego Neighborhood.

Here are three more of the best San Diego neighborhoods to see Christmas lights:

Christmas Circle in Chula Vista

The one that started the convo! For 61 years the homes along Whitney Street and Mankato Circle have proudly displayed their Christmas spirit. There are over 55 homes to see, this is a hot spot for holiday lights viewing in the South Bay. Instead of driving thru, try walking the circle to get a close up view of the winter wonderland.

¿Cuando? Dec. 8-26 from 5-10 PM to cross this tradition off your holiday to-do list.

Garrison Street Lights in Point Loma

This street becomes an amazing sight-to-see this month. From the homes to the trees, the neighborhood lights up and has been capturing el espiritu navisdeño for over 30 years.

¿Cuando? Catch the sights and sounds nightly until 10pm through December.

Belardo Lights in Tierrasanta

2018 marks the 14h holiday season for the spectacular display of the Belardo Lights. Started by a father who wanted to create a special holiday tradition for his two sons with autism. The computerized light display gets better each year! You can even tune your car radio to 106.1 FM for synchronized music. Although it’s free to view the home’s holiday display, a donation to the National Foundation for Autism Research is appreciated.

¿Cuando? Nightly from 6-10pm through Dec. 27th at 5306 Belardo Drive, San Diego, rain may cause cancelation for safety precautions.

Christmas Park in Clairemont

Here you can view more than 40 homes decorated with holiday lights along Lana Drive and Jamar Drive in Clairemont. The circular street, located off Mount Abernathy Avenue, started this holiday tradition in 1977.

¿Cuando? The streets will be lit up until Dec. 25th.

Bonus: Bankers Hill Home

There are multiple neighborhoods known for their amazing light displays that you’ll want to add to your holiday to-do lists, ¿a cual vas tu?
