¿Listo para los cohetes? I know I’m ready for the wonderful explosions over America’s Finest City. I thought I’d throw you a bone on the best places to watch San Diego Fireworks 2011 shows around town. San Diego Fireworks
San Diego Bay – Big Bay Boom
This is the grand daddy of cohetes. I’ve been lucky enough to see it from a Hotel-Motel-Holiday Inn! Fireworks are discharged simultaneously from four barges placed strategically around the bay off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero area, Seaport Village and an added Imperial Beach pier. Looks best from the 15th floor. Llega tempra they expect almost a million peeps there.
Coronado: Glorietta Bay
If you don’t mind the monster traffic over the bridge (to and from) el espectacular, this show is like…well, a smaller version of the Big Bay Boom. Although its not the same show, this one is synced with a soundtrack on KyXy 96.5.
La Jolla Cove
On June 25th 2010 Marco Gonzalez filed a lawsuit seeking to stop the 26th annual La Jolla Community Fireworks citing environmental concerns. ¡Ricos, mas pooo! But the ban was rejected by Superior Court Judge Linda B. Quinn ¡Gracias Señorita! Tambien hay un show, show will begin at 7 p.m. Los cohetes will begin about 9 p.m.

Mission Bay: Sea World
This one is just as good as the Big Bay Boom. Chances are you hear the booms all summer. Pero el cuatro de julio, is fan-freaken-tastic. No worries amigo–viewing also available along Crown Point, and all around the Sea World and Mission Bay area and it’s FREE!
National City: Kimball Community Park
If you thought cholos were extinct–you were right…well, if you don’t count veteranos. Swing by the churros to support my parents church fundraiser, you’ll go to heaven : )
