San Diego Fireworks

¿Listo para los cohetes? I know I’m ready for the wonderful explosions over America’s Finest City. I thought I’d throw you a bone on the best places to watch San Diego Fireworks 2011 shows around town. I’ll let you in on a secret too, pa’ que le digas a todos; some of the firework spectaculars are synced to patriotic jams on KyXy 96.5fm and the best one is on 105.7 The Walrus, so bring your boom box.

TIP: Parking is always brutal once you factor in all of the locals, the transplants and those visiting from out of town. Casi todos los shows, start at 9pm with the exceptions being the local theme park fire work shows. Otros, include a community carnival, como la de Nachional City…thats where all of the raza ends up, they line up a pretty cool community talent showcase. More information on all of the firework shows below, which will you see?

This is the grand daddy of cohetes. I’ve been lucky enough to see it from a Hotel-Motel-Holiday Inn! Fireworks are discharged simultaneously from four barges placed strategically around the bay off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero area, Seaport Village and an added Imperial Beach pier. Looks best from the 15th floor. Llega tempra they expect almost a million peeps there.
